Routine Management

1.Course Setting and Textbook Selection. According to different requirements and English teaching status, curriculum would be determined with the textbooks carefully selected. Book lists will be made afterwards and submitted to partner colleges and universities in time.

2.Syllabus Design. According to the curriculum, textbook, course schedule and teaching periods, a complete syllabus will be designed with the course nature specified and detailed requirements outlined.

3.Preparation and Distribution of Teaching Schedule and Lesson Plan Template.

4.Class Hours Allocation. Based on partner university’s requirements, reasonable class hours and subjects would be allocated to foreign teachers according to their expertise. The department will inform foreign teachers of the arrangement and remind them to prepare lessons in time.

5.Exam Paper Preparation. The department will coordinate with foreign teachers in the preparation of entrance examination and final examination papers, monitor the progress, and acquire feedback.

6.Teaching Responsibility and Class Activities. The department will work out the detailed arrangement including the time for office hours and online meetings. Minutes and records would be archived with class observation conducted throughout the semester. An evaluation system would be established at the very beginning to ensure the smooth implementation of class activities.

7.Test Analysis and Teaching Summary. Analysis and summary will be conducted in order to check the teaching quality and provide useful experience for the further teaching.

8.Process Management. The department would keep close contact with international colleges, tackle various teaching difficulties, monitor the teaching progress, and make timely adjustments.

Main forms of teaching monitoring and management are as follows:

1.Communication with Foreign Teachers: Discuss with teachers about students’ performance, the usage of textbooks, teaching progress, difficulties, methods, etc. Further guidance would be given as well.

2.Students Discussion: Collect student’s feedback, comments on teachers and the difficulties in learning.

3.Classroom Observation: Class observation provides a chance to collect timely the feedback including students learning attitude and language level, teachers’ delivery methods and teaching attitude. Observers would communicate with students after class to get the first-hand teaching feedback.

4.Emergency Response: Prepare to respond to any emergencies occurred.
